Les Ateliers Ruby are celebrating their fifth anniversary with the release of their first full-face helmet: the Castel.
Back in 2007, on October 1st, the first Pavillon helmet by Les Ateliers Ruby appeared in a shop off la rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. A year and a half after that Jérôme Coste unveiled his second creation: the Belvedere helmet, with a retro-futuristic visor. In the last 5 years, the Ruby team have released a run of new collections with these two models interpreted into 286 different versions, as well as into limited editions and also a few one-off pieces.
Today, for their landmark anniversary, the family is growing again with the arrival of the Ruby Castel, intended to provide you with even greater protection. Jérôme Coste envisioned this as a full-face version of the classic Pavillon helmet. Refined and made deliberately without a visor*, the helmet is intended to be worn with riding goggles.
*The Eclipse Peak, currently available for the Pavillon, can be adjusted to fit the Castel.

Castel: when Evel Knivel meets James Hunt!
A helmet with character and soul that will inspire all who see it. Only the wide chin piece alters the original shape; a design intended to reflect the image of the full-face helmet we all have in our collective unconscious. The Castel can be seen today in Ruby's Paris shop just off la rue Hérold, and also at Revival's shop on Bolm road, right here in Austin, TX.
The Castel has all the qualities we've come to expect from les ateliers Ruby: quality manufacturing and finish, of course, as well as expert choice of materials and design such as the carbon fiber shell and its sensual backbone, respectively. You'll find another typical Ruby feature with the Castel's quilted cardinal-red lining and its unrivaled fit; the feel of Nappa lambskin on the side of your face is just icing on the cake. For your safety, the mounting parts are made of titanium and the chin strap is closed with a double-d buckle (the only system authorized in competition). As an added bonus, the clever team at Ruby have integrated a rear pocket for stowing vital emergency information. The final product is still signed with the Ruby emblem in metal.
With this design, Ateliers Ruby is opening new horizons for motorcycle (or tricycle) users, who can now travel at serious speeds in a Ruby helmet, whatever the weather conditions.
